My name is Jim Confer , and I’m from Bradford , PA. I intend to drive over on the 11th and participate in your snowmobile event , and will be bringing my girlfriend as well. I have a suggestion , if I may. With the event being 2 weeks away yet , I think there would still be time enough to announce a ladies only ” powder puff ” snowmobile race as a feature. My girlfriend would like to bring and race her 583 ‘Doo , but isn’t willing to race against men. This is her first season , and although she’d like to participate , she isn’t comfortable doing so unless it’s against other women. I think an open CC class would have to suffice due to short notice of this addition to your event roster , but think it would attract a larger crowd for you , as well as make additional money at the event. I also think that most people would agree that having more women participate is always a big plus and fun for everyone. I’d also like to ask you about how you’d like for us to number our sleds for the event. If you could give me a call , I’d love to chat with you , and am curious to know if the possibility of having a woman’s event can get under way. A simple way to blow your event up would be to advertise at the local radio station here , 95.7 WPIG in Olean , NY , and ask for donations to cover the cost , which is very minimal anyway. There are tons of people here with sleds that are dying to ride due to lack of snow , and I guarantee a 30 second promo will buy you a ton of participation.
