(Hartford, OH)…After completing seven straight Saturday night events, Sharon Speedway was off last Saturday night due to the Trumbull County Fair and now suffered its first Saturday night rainout since May 17. Rain began Friday night and continued throughout the overnight and morning, and with showers in the forecast for much of the afternoon and evening, management was forced to cancel the July 19 program.
Next Saturday (July 26) will be a “Steel Valley Thunder” program including the Hovis Auto & Truck Supply DIRTcar Big-Block Modifieds, Barris Supply RUSH Late Models, Summit Racing Equipment Modifieds, Gibson Insurance Agency Stock Cars, HTMA/Precise Racing Products Econo Mods, and the Deforest Used Parts Mini Stocks. There will be a Gold Rush for the kids during intermission. Race time is 7 p.m.
Coming up on Wednesday, July 30 is the “Lou Blaney Memorial” featuring the season’s only appearance by “410” Sprint Cars as they’ll race for $5,000 to-win plus the BRP Big-Block Modified Tour for $2,000 to-win. More information on advanced tickets are available at www.sharonspeedway.com.
