FASTRAK LATE MODEL TEAMS REMINDED FT400 REQUIRED ON RIGHT REAR AT ALL SHARON WEEKLY EVENTS

(Hartford, OH)…With the long-awaited “Steel Valley Thunder� opener just days away this Saturday the 9th, Sharon Speedway is reminding FASTRAK Late Model competitors that the Hoosier FT400 Tire is required on the right rear for all weekly events in 2011. The rule does not apply to the Northeast Touring Series events on May 28, June 25, July 23, and September 17.

“I’m really excited about the FASTRAK Late Models becoming part of our weekly program,� expressed second year GM Dave Willoughby. “The shows in the past had tremendous racing and great car counts, but the one complaint we got was the tire wear. I want to take a proactive approach to save race teams money so that we have strong car counts all season long for the fans thus my reasoning for requiring the FT400 on the right rear.�

The weather for Saturday is looking dry and mild, as the Barris Supply FASTRAK Late Models will be joined by the Governor Insurance Agency Big-Block Modifieds, Ainsley 500 Heating & Cooling E-Mods, Gibson Agency Stock Cars, and the Presidential Lawn Care Mini Stocks. Pits open at 4 p.m. with the grandstands at 5 and racing set for 7.
