September 8, 2012 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

(Hartford, OH)…For the seventh time this season, Mother Nature has chalked up a victory at Sharon Speedway. Overnight rains that continued throughout the morning hours forced management to cancel Saturday night’s racing activities.

Coming up next Friday and Saturday, September 14-15 will be the “Apple Festival Nationals. Friday’s program will get underway at 6:30 p.m. with the May 27 Open Stock Car make-up feature and the event will also include the September 8 rained out FASTRAK Northeast Futures Cup “Trifecta race. Racing will begin at 6 p.m. on Saturday. There will be free camping available all weekend and entertainment after the races both nights led by 93.3 The Wolf’s “Fast Freddy!

The Barris Supply FASTRAK Late Models will be in action both nights featuring $1,000 to-win on Friday night and a complete program for the Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC Pace Performance Northeast Touring Series on Saturday for $1,200 to-win. The normal FT400 right rear tire rule will be waived for the entire weekend.

The UEMS E-Mods will compete both nights with two complete shows paying $1,000 each! Besides the May 27 Open Stock make-up, the Open Stock Cars will battle for $500 on Friday night and $1,000 for Saturday night in preparation for the $1,500 to-win October 6 event. Also on the card with complete shows each night are the HTMA/Precise Racing Products Econo Mods and the Deforest Used Parts Mini Stocks.

Kids 13 and under are free all weekend. Normal adult admission prices are in effect at $13 each night, but a two-day pass is just $20! Pit passes are $30 on Friday and $35 on Saturday, but a two-day is only $55!
