(Hartford, OH)…While the successful 2012 season in the record books at Sharon Speedway, management is making plans for the 2013 racing season. Three early season events will unofficially kickoff the 84th anniversary season with snowmobile races on January 26, the 2012 awards banquet on February 2, and an Enduro and open practice on March 23.

Back by popular demand, the “Circle Track Showdown Snowmobile Races will be featured on Saturday, January 26 and the event will carry a no snow make-up of February 9. Racing will get underway at 11 a.m. All access admission is just $5!

The inaugural “Circle Track Showdown back in 2011 drew over 100 competitors and a packed grandstand, while last year’s mild winter nearly postponed the event for a third time, but a big snowstorm hit the two days prior allowing the event to take place.

Sharon will celebrate the 2012 season with the annual awards banquet and dinner on Saturday, February 2 at the Yankee Lake Ballroom near Brookfield, Ohio. The top 10 drivers from the Governor Insurance Agency DIRTcar Big-Block Modifieds, Barris Supply FASTRAK Late Models, Summit Racing Equipment E-Mods, Gibson Insurance Agency Stock Cars, HTMA/Precise Racing Products Econo Mods, and the Deforest Used Parts Mini Stocks will be honored.

The racing season will get going on Saturday, March 23 with the fourth annual “Springduro 150 Enduro paying $1,000 to-win. Prior to the Enduro, an open practice for all race cars will take place.

Entry forms for all three motorsports events can be obtained by going to the Sharon website at www.sharonspeedway.com, clicking on Driver Info then Registration. Stay tuned for more information on these events as they near.
